At Pathfinder Japan, we’re committed to providing our travel agent partners with high-quality, competitively priced itineraries that offer exceptional value for their clients. To maintain our low margins and streamlined processes, we offer our services at a flat package rate, without itemizing the cost of each activity.
This approach allows us to focus on what matters most—delivering a seamless and memorable travel experience—without lengthy discussions about the pricing of each component.
While itemized pricing may seem helpful at first glance, in practice it often leads to extended back-and-forth conversations and a significant increase in workload.
Our pricing model is built on a balanced margin structure: we may earn a bit more on some elements and less on others, enabling us to offer highly competitive overall rates without compromising on quality. The same goes for our local partners.
For this reason, we provide a single, all-inclusive price for the itinerary. This allows us to dedicate our time and expertise to crafting the best possible experience for your clients, rather than justifying individual costs.
If a fully itemized breakdown is required, we’re happy to provide one for an additional fee. Should that request also involve revising the itinerary based on the breakdown, a further fee will apply to reflect the time and resources needed to rework the proposal.
Change Fee Policy
We offer up to 3 drafts free of charge. After that, a change fee applies:
Drafts 1–3: Free
Draft 4: ¥5,000
Draft 5: ¥10,000
Draft 6 or more: ¥20,000 per draft or restart fee
Fees apply per version and are subject to VAT.
This policy helps us manage time and resources fairly across multiple clients and suppliers. Please note that these fees are not designed to generate additional revenue, but rather to support efficient operations and allow us to focus on what we do best—crafting exceptional travel experiences and managing itineraries with care.
For further details, we invite you to visit our SOP page. We always welcome constructive feedback—this is a collaborative journey, and we’re committed to continuously improving our policies.
Using a singular price also helps us keep costs low and turnaround times short. The more time spent reworking or analyzing an itinerary, the more expensive and time-consuming the process becomes.
That’s why it’s in everyone’s best interest—from the travel agent to the client—to 'finalize' the itinerary as much as possible before we begin. This helps us work efficiently, minimize revisions, and avoid unnecessary fees—while still delivering a high-quality travel experience.
We truly value your partnership and look forward to continuing to create outstanding trips for your clients with clarity, efficiency, and mutual respect.
